Web Design
Web design is one of the hardest areas to portfolio. Styles change rapidly, so a hot look from several years ago looks terribly dated today. Many clients shop for new designers with every update, so last year’s featured site now has someone else’s design. Businesses are as fluid as design itself, with start-ups disappearing within a year, and established companies merging and rebranding.
Many clients are not interested in creative, cutting-edge designs. They opt instead for whatever is trending at the time – a look that is neither so outdated people notice, nor so avant-garde that no one can use it. It’s always good to make the customer happy. Unfortunately, it also makes a fairly boring portfolio.
Print Design
I started out in print design. My work includes brochures, flyers, folders, logos and corporate branding, book covers and book design, digital illustration, and a great deal of scientific visualization for technical and research publications.
Other Design
Never one to shy away from an interesting project, my portfolio also includes Tradeshow booth design, and the occasional 3D art.
Below is a sample of my designs from across the years.

Large format art has a unique set of challenges, not the least being file size.
